Catch the train: Exchanging knowledge on education and employability
Scholars, researchers and policy makers are to discuss education, training and their role in finding and keeping employment at an international conference co-organised by the JRC’s Centre for Research in Lifelong Learning (CRELL). The two day programme of "Catch the Train: Skills, Education and Jobs" was put together with the Directorate-General for Education and Culture and the EU-sponsored think tank European Expert Network on Economics of Education (EENEE). The event takes place on 20-21 June in Brussels.
This conference follows a European Commission proposal of late May on benchmarks related to the role of education and training leading to employment. The proposal is based on a JRC research which considers the combination of factors enabling employment and the mobility of higher education students between different countries, contributing to development of skills.
