President Nilsson met Mr Štefan Füle, Commissioner responsible for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy
Amongst the subjects tackled during the meeting were:
- Commissioner’ s support for civil society involvement in the EU- Euromed relations; the EESC relations with the Moroccan ESC and other CSOs.
- Enlargement policy and a need of a high- level participation of the European Commission in the EESC Joint Consultative Committees meetings.
- Eastern partnership: the EESC concerns regarding the worsening situation in Belarus. Moreover the EESC gave its backing to the EC decision to neither support not ratify the EU- Ukraine association agreement.
The cooperation between the EESC and Commissioner Fule will continue on the subjects mentioned above.
