These Regulations amend the Conservation (Natural Habitats, &c.) Regulations 1994 (“the 1994 Regulations”), which make provision for the transposition of Council Directive 92/43/EEC on the conservation of natural habitats and of wild fauna and flora (OJL206, 22.7.1992, p.7) (“the Habitats Directive”) and certain aspects of Directive 2009/147/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the conservation of wild birds (OJL20, 26.1.2010, p.7) (“the Birds Directive”).
