Opening speech at the SMO Public Hearing: The social dimension of the Single Market

The EESC has been closely following the progress towards the Single Market since 1994, when it set up its Single Market Observatory.
This is the logical consequence of its role as the pluralist platform through which organised users of the Single Market can contribute to its very design.
