On Monday 28th January at 11.15, Vice-President Neelie Kroes will give a short press conference to announce the two research projects chosen as winners of the FET (Future and Emerging Technologies) Flagships initiative, which will potentially benefit from up to one billion euros of EU funding each. These two initiatives were chosen from a shortlist of six by a panel of experts including leading scientists, professors, Nobel prize winners, and industrialists. The press conference will be immediately followed by a technical briefing.
